«КАТАКОМБНОЕ» ДВИЖНИЕ НА ТЕРРИТОРИИ ДОБРУШСКОГО РАЙОНА ГОМЕЛЬСКОЙ ОБЛАСТИ БССР В 1944–1964 ГГ.

Abstract

Статья посвящена рассмотрению истории развития «катакомбного» движения в пределах Добрушского района Гомельской области в первые два десятилетия после освобождения региона от немецкой оккупации. Возникновение названного религиозного течения на Гомельщине относится к 1928 г., когда протоиерей Павел Левашев и иеромонах Герасим (Каешко) заявили об отказе в признании Заместителя Патриаршего Местоблюстителя митрополита Сергия (Страгородского). Антисоветская позиция «катакомбников» встретила жесткую реакцию со стороны гражданской власти и привела к их переходу на нелегальное положение. Одним из направлений «катакомбного» движения, получившим развитие в Добрушском районе, стала «серафимо-геннадиевская» ветвь, объединившая последователей местного священник Григория Секача (в монашестве Геннадия). Наличие «катакомбного» движения формировало в рассматриваемый период уникальный ландшафт религиозной жизни Добрушского края и тем самым выделяло его среди большинства других белорусских регионов.

The article is devoted to the history of the development of the «catacomb» movement within the Dobrush district of the BSSR in the first two decades after the liberation of the region from German occupation. The emergence of the named religious trend in the Gomel region dates back to 1928, when Archpriest Pavel Levashev and Hieromonk Gerasim (Kaeshko) announced their refusal to recognize the Deputy Patriarchal Locum Tenens Metropolitan Sergius (Stragorodsky). The anti-Soviet position of the supporters of the «catacomb» movement met with a harsh reaction from the civil authorities and led to their transition to an illegal position. One of the directions of the «catacomb» movement, which was developed in the Dobrush region, was the «Seraphim-Gennadievskaya» branch, which united the followers of the local priest Gregory Sekach (Hieromonk Gennady). The presence of the «catacomb» movement formed in the period under review a unique landscape of the religious life of the Dobrush region and thus distinguished it from most other Belarusian regions.
